about

The Regime was formed in March 1966, originally with four members:

Graham Hamer - vocals and guitar (aged 13)
Malcolm Hamer - vocals and guitar (aged 16)
Bob Pedrick - bass guitar (aged 14)
Dave Morris - drums (aged 15)

The band held its first practice on 11 March 1966 at the Weston Parish Hall (Bath, UK).

This album consists of recordings of original songs written by Graham Hamer and recorded by the band in 1966 and 1967. Recording original songs was not a big priority so recording sessions were infrequent and rarely involved more than one or two takes of a particular song. During this period Malcolm Hamer (who produced the tracks) had two acetates cut featuring a total of 5 tracks - 2 in 1966 and 3 in 1967. Also included in this collection are some demos of songs some of which were later recorded by the full band.
