about

Felt like doing some recording since I had quite a lot of material written. So I thought, why not make it more difficult by doing a song cycle!

TESSARES IN C

Part A The parting

If you want to say good bye
Don't start to cry,
Please dry your eyes.
If you think that we should part
Don't let tears start
Don't break my heart.

Time will tell if
we had a good thing
And it's a bad thing
To end this way.
But it feels like
You're not for changing
And there's no saving
What we had.

If you want to leave me now,
I'll cope somehow,
I'll break our vow.
If you think this is the end
You must pretend
We part as friends.

If you go then don't forget me
Don't you let me
Ever be free.
If you want to break the chains,
Leave our domains
Lose what remains.

Time will tell if
we've done the right thing
But this right thing
Seems far too hard.
But it's clear now
You're not for changing
And there's no finding
What we had.

Part B Grow not old

A light so bright, it sears my eyes
Surprises me, as I try to see
A light which I fear.

A sound so loud, it calls my soul
Oppresses me, as I try to sleep
A sound which I hear still.

Like a bird flies
While a flower dies
How can I hide here?

Like a wasp sings
As a bell rings
How can I come home?

Dawn’s light, night fright
Fear which never leaves
It’ll never let you go
It’ll never let you go
It’ll never let you go
And leave you free.

A cold so deep, can freeze my brain
Freeze my brain, as I try to think
A cold which I feel still.

Like a bird flies
While a flower dies
How can I hide here?

Like a wasp sings
As a bell rings
How can I come home?

Dawn’s light, night fright
Fear which never leaves
It’ll never let you go
It’ll never let you go
It’ll never let you go
And leave you free.

Part C Destiny

It was my destiny to stay far away from you,
And through the years
All my fears have grown.
O Lord I’d hoped I would find you
I have not and yet still I have tried.

I’ve tried to find the hope I need
Now when all I have seems false and dreams
Can’t help it all seem real.
Maranatha I can’t wait a lifetime
And yet time will pass and not return.

O now I am here but don’t know where I am
For night may come and I’m so far from home.

Home, where my heart can find your peace
And where I can sleep and not have fear
For I will hear your voice.
Κύριε, με ἄΦιη
I didn’t mean to be the way I am.

Part D Female 66

You died: from this I found life.
You died: from this I found life.

You’re in me: but you’re never fully mine.
You’re in me: but you're never fully mine.

I live through you: in death you gave life.
I live through you: in death you gave life.

From bad: came something so good.
From bad: came something so good.

You died: from this I found life.
You died: from this I found life.
